Crozer-Chester Medical Center (Crozer) is a 371-bed not-for-profit tertiary-care teaching hospital located on a 68-acre campus. Today, the medical center admits more than 22,000 patients, treats approximately 53,000 Emergency Department patients, and delivers about 2,000 babies a year. Crozer is home to a 40,000 square-foot Emergency Department, the Crozer-Keystone Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine, offering patients with chronic wounds advanced outpatient wound care delivered by a multidisciplinary team of specialists, and the Bertram Speare Outpatient Pavilion offering improved access for outpatient procedures. Crozer was certified as a Primary Stroke Center by the Joint Commission, in 2009, one of only two hospitals (along with Delaware County Memorial Hospital) in Delaware County to hold that distinction.
